Specify the compression quality of thumbnails generated when adding images to the Multimedia module.

Description

Adding an image to the Multimedia module automatically generates a thumbnail version of the image (90x90px) with default compression settings. With this Registry entry it is possible to specify the compression quality (and hence file size) of thumbnails generated when an image is added to the Multimedia module.

Usage

This Registry entry is assigned at the system level only:

where:

value

is a number from 1 (lowest image quality and highest compression) to 100 (best quality but least effective compression).

The lower the compression quality, the smaller the file size of the thumbnail.

Note: In the absence of this entry, a value of 100 is used.

Example

This entry specifies a compression setting of 70 for thumbnails, which provides a reasonable trade-off between image quality and file size:
